Not Enough Time for Hair and Makeup

It’s easy to get wrapped up in the excitement of wedding day and lose track of time. The last thing you want is to feel rushed while doing hair and makeup! Be sure to speak to your makeup artist and hair stylist about how much time you think you’ll need. It is always better to factor in more time than needed! Trying to do Everything Yourself

One of the easiest wedding mistakes to make is taking on too much. No matter how much you might love to be in control of things, it’s important to trust in your vendors! They are professionals for a reason, and they know exactly what they need to do to make wedding day perfect for you. If there’s anything you’re anxious about, be transparent with your vendors. They will be happy to answer any questions and put your mind at ease. This is one of the main reasons why we at Southall Meadows created our Coordination services! You can see more about our services here!

Not Having Breakfast

In the whirlwind of getting ready, it’s easy to skip out on breakfast! It might not seem like a big deal, but once the wedding festivities start, you’ll probably be busy socializing and enjoying your day leading you to miss out on some of the wedding food. Be sure to eat a filling breakfast in the morning, and have someone bring you some snacks during cocktail hour!

Not Having a Backup Weather Plan

No one wants to think about the idea that their outdoor wedding might experience inclement weather, but it’s important to have a backup plan if your wedding day turns into a rainy day! If your venue offers both an indoor and outdoor space like we do, inquire about whether the indoor space will be available for use on your wedding day. You could also place a few umbrellas or other plastic covers on site for decor and food should anything be exposed to rain.

Forgetting to Say Thank You

Let everyone who helped to plan your wedding know how grateful you are! Make a list of all the people you want to thank in advance so you won’t forget anybody. You can thank them by giving them a small shoutout in your speech at your wedding, or sending them a card afterward or a small gift. Make sure you address your guests as well. After all, they came to support you and they want to hear from you!
